About Me

Hello World!

FGCU

My name is Joseph Cisar and I was born December 8th, 1996 in Plantation, Florida. I was born on the same day as my grandmother and my uncle. I am currently in my third year at Florida Gulf Coast University and my first year as a Software Engineering Major. In starting my first year as a Software Engineering Major, I plan to complete courses to my highest ability to prepare me for future courses and jobs. Since beginning college I have been on the Men's Rugby Team and will continue to be on the team until I am ineligible to play, as a 5-year max to being on teams. Since junior year of high school I have helped in three student films, too. Two of which have been sent into popular film festivals! Throughout my life I have always traveled with my family; my first trip when I was six months old. It is a huge part of my life that I love. I have learned a vast amount of culture, history, and many other subjects due to traveling to so many countries.

Introduction to Computer Science

In Intro to Computer Science, I have learned the basics of HTML and CSS which has allowed me to create this portfolio. I have also learned about Binary Values and Number Systems, Gates and Circuits, Data Representation, Algorithms and many other things. For the rest of the semester I plan to learn and practice more languages of code that will allow me to thrive in my future endeavors with Software Engineering as my major.

Mobile App Development

In Mobile App development, I have learned Python and how to use Android Studios. Using an emulator in Android Studios, I helped to create a mobile application for The Blue Zones Project. In this class I hope to strengthen what I already know about Python to help my future studies.

Introduction to C++

I am currently learning the C++ language. This course provides an introduction to computer design and development using C++language. A structured, multi-phase, program development process, featuring a series of steps involving problem definition, top-down design, and formal specification is stressed. The course is intended to provide myself with the techniques needed to develop well-documented, structured computer programs.
