Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that focuses on connecting the movements of the body with the will of the mind. While the movements may seem "slow" to the casual observer, it is about constant control, not sloppy speed. Similar to isometrics in western exercise, the slow, deliberate movements force dozens of muscle groups to work to their limits, and a few minutes of proper execution can be a real workout. Ultimately, it's about balance, control, focus, and making your body do exactly what you want.
I've created a basic, 7 movement routine that anyone can learn and practice. Also the music on these tai Chi pages are excellent for practicing to, as it sets a relaxing mood for most people. Of course, you can use any music you want, but the mood should be calming so you can concentrate entirely on what you're doing.

Be sure to read the descriptions!
The videos are a very basic illustration, and you won't be able to practice the way you need to by only watching them. If you have any questions, feel free to Instant Message me. My screen name is on the XANGA page.
