In 2001 I moved to Fort Myers, FL in search for personal and professional development. Upon my arrival, I enrolled at Edison State College to finish my Associates in Arts degree in Business Administration. In addtion, I began full time employement with an apperal distribution company. Initially, juggling the demands of attending school and working full time was challenging, however, as I learned to organize myself I realized that both curriculums could be managed sucessfully. Upon graduating from Edison, I enrolled in Hodges University to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Throughout the duration of the program, I learned valuable skills that strengthend my confidence and knowledge to grow my career goals. In 2003, a few months prior to my graduation, I joined the CEO of Florida Fitness and Rehabilitation, to start the company's first outpatient physical therapy facility. While building the foundations of the company, I gained experience in human resources, information and project management, and corporate finance. Furthermore, it enhanced interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills necessary to effectively manage the organization. Due to my accomplishments with the company, today,Florida Fitness and Rehabilitation has two growing facilities and produces over 1million dollars yearly in gross revenues.
As an advocate for continously learning, I am currently in pursue of a Master's degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Information Technology. I look to obtain this degree in 2010, eventually leading me to begin the path to aquire a Ph.D in a related field.
