DIGITAL ARTWORK

Welcome to my modest gallery.  This is where I display my best computer drawings of characters from my stories.  These drawings were created using two different programs: Microsoft Paint (found on any Windows-based system) and Character Sketcher 3.0 (from a company called NBOS).  I use the latter to create the heads and faces of my characters, then I export the result to Paint and Copy/Paste the head onto pre-drawn bodies.

These drawings, especially the body templates, are being improved regularly, so be sure to check often!  It took me several stages of tedious work in Microsoft Paint, each several hours long, to create bodies that looked decently human and somewhat anatomically correct.  I very often created arms and legs separate from the torso and then used Copy/Paste to bring the whole thing together.

My only regrets are 1) that Character Sketcher only does frontal portraits and not 3/4 views or profiles, 2) that I have not yet figured out a way to make Paint use some sort of pattern instead of plain colors for filling a region (then I could make the jeans look something like real denim), and 3) I have yet to muster the patience necessary to create body templates displaying more dynamic and interesting poses.

Anyway, feel free to browse the gallery, which is categorized by the title of the story or series of stories to which the drawings are related.  I currently have competent drawings of characters from only my two primary writing projects, but more will hopefully be added soon.
